AHS Sponsors 5k Race

AHS recently sponsored a 5k event at beautiful Lake Accotink Park in Springfield, VA.
The race was organized by Marathi Kala Mandal of Washington DC, a non-profit organization. Our physical therapists provided advice for management and prevention of running injuries.
It was a beautiful summer morning. There were about 150 runners from all age groups that enjoyed a perfect family outing. Several patients and employees of AHS participated in the race. One of our referring podiatrists, Dr. Lonny Nodelman was also available for advice regarding foot and ankle injuries. As one of our old patients said:
“Thanks to AHS. On this beautiful day I was able to run a 5k for the first time safter my ankle injury!”
